The course manuals are designed to cover different Operating Systems - Windows XP, Vista and now Windows 7, with easy-to-follow instructions.
Instructions begin with how to Start and Shut Down the computer correctly, the use of the Mouse,  and Keyboard skills.  We progress through to some of the basic Word Processing concepts such as Highlighting, Cut, Copy and Paste, how to create a Desktop shortcut, how to create a Folder.

These are all essential skills needed to move on with confidence to other courses.

Along the way you will learn to understand some of the ‘computer speak’ that may have been puzzling you.
You will learn the difference between left and right clicking, about the Desktop, the Taskbar, the Start Menu, about Fonts, about how to open and close a program, to create and save a document.

You will also have some FUN as we move through the course.

On completion of this course you will have gained more confidence in using your computer, and will have acquired many  basic skills that you will need to move on to more advanced courses.

Word Processing will extend the skills you have learned in the Introduction to Computers course.
