Have you ever wondered why so many volunteers spend hours and hours every week working for SeniorNet?
Here's why: we like helping people to make the most of their computers, and we are rewarded by the excellent progress members make when they are prepared to practise. Then there is the odd accolade - that's really nice too.
It's the icing on the cake....

We are happy to share some comments with you......
'I have been most impressed with the organisation, function
and performance of SeniorNet. The knowledge, ability to
impart, friendship and enthusiasm of the tutors I have had
experience with is quite remarkable, considering this is an
unpaid, voluntary organisation. This question has crossed my
mind: Who needs a competitive model to promote efficiency
when we see SeniorNet in operation!'

“My previous computer experience was on a trial and error basis interacting with the computer as though it was a mysterious black box. When I got into difficulty there was sometimes a family member around to help me. If not, I had to wait for one.
Hence the SeniorNet courses have been wonderful as I have learnt about computer processes in an orderly way and have filled in the vast gaps in my knowledge as well as learning some new tricks. The course manuals are a great resource and I often refer back to them e.g. when making a text box. I now do the publicity for a prominent Community Group and I am putting my newly learnt skills into action: such things as sending emails with attachments, putting event details onto websites and designing posters. I can even load and send photos now so feel very pleased with myself. I like the people involved with SeniorNet too as they are a dynamic lot with lots of other interests. They are a good inspiration to me when I see what they can achieve on computers.” J.W.

“Congratulations on the launch of your new web site. It’s a great site – clean, clear and uncluttered. It’s really professional. You have learned a huge amount about web building in a short time – I’m very impressed and I think it’s excellent.” C.P.

"Please pass my thanks to Gordon for the excellent Excel Course just finished. He has an immense amount of patience, having to repeat and
repeat to a "mixed" skill class. His tips & tricks were most helpful and with the assistance of his super helpers it made it a pleasure to attend.
Added to that his humour also made it a very entertaining afternoon. Many thanks & regards, S.Y."
