The Digital Imagery Group is an enthusiastic bunch of people who like playing about with digital photographs and sharing them around.  The group meets on the last Friday of each month at the SeniorNet hall at 2 p.m., or at a pre-arranged location.

The first meeting for 2012 is on 24th February 2012 at the SeniorNet Hall at 2pm

We begin with a slideshow and discussion of your images on the topic "Holidays", so please upload your images to that album at

http://dignelson.shutterfly.com/ or bring them early - no later than 1.45pm to the meeting

Your questionnaire responses in November asked for more information on the features of photo editing programs in common use
so we will start the year by covering two programs in February and another two in March.

February 24th:  Barry Doig on PAINT.net - a powerful comprehensive free program using layers which Barry tutors
David Blunt on Photofiltre - another free download with great features which David tutors.

David will also demonstrate a Photofiltre Plug-in which he has used to great effect - this is a treat in store.

After the demonstrations we will have questions and discussion then a cup of tea.
After tea there is time for you to do some hands-on testing of PAINT.net and Photofiltre in the Learning Centre with the guidance of Barry and David

                                                                 .......................................................

We have some amazingly talented photographers in the group, and we have others with little experience who just want to be able to share their photographs with far-off family.  Many others are somewhere in between and we all learn from each other with great enjoyment. The aim of the group is for everyone to enjoy taking more photographs. We help to make using a camera fun and like to show you interesting things.

This could be presentations on how to use different functions on your camera, editing photographs in various ways, demonstrating image-related programs or Tutorials on other topics.
The group also has its own web site, where any member can upload photographs to share if they wish.
