Health and Safety Officer: Role

 

 


What does the Health and Safety Officer do?

  • Inspects the premises at least quarterly.
  • Ensures that fire safety and first aid equipment is installed and available and that Exit signs are in place.
  • Maintains a record of accidents and reports to OSH if necessary
  • Arranges for annual maintenance of fire extinguishers.
  • Ensures that any new systems and procedures are publicised and are added to the checklist.
  • Arranges cleaning of the premises.
  • Arranges for pest control when required.

Reports to: Management Committee
Liaises with: Management Committee, Meeting Convenors and members.
